My name is Nina, and I am coloured pencil artist, living and working on the edge of the beautiful Peak District, where I enjoy being in the great outdoors and countryside.

I am a lifelong dog owner, and have a special place in my heart for working dogs, and understand fully how special the bond is between dog and their owner.

The entire character of an animal can be seen in their eyes, and I love to really focus on this area to bring your picture to life. I only use the highest quality artist grade materials, using clear photographic reference material as a guide to work to. The materials I use ensure that whether you purchase a print or an original from me, it will last for generations to come.

Me presenting HRH Prince Edward, The Earl of Wessex with a portrait of HM the Queen’s Cocker spaniels, FTCH Mallowdale Diamond and FTCH Wolferton Drama at the 2022 Cocker championships held at Windsor.

Although I am perhaps best known for my life like fine art pet portraits, I love to draw and paint all types of livestock, animals, wildlife, birds and other types of pets, experimenting in oils and paints, as well as the coloured pencils I use most often. Working in pencil gives me more precision, and enables me to really focus in on the details.
With many layers, depth and intensity can be built up and each animals unique character can be captured - and the bond between the pet and owner truly shines through.
